Lynn King, Director of Photography/ Location Production Coordinator

Lynn King holds an MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, Ca. and a BA in film/video from Columbia College Chicago. Lynn has worked in Los Angeles as a freelance DP, shooting independent, narrative film shorts and with Larry Levinson Productions creating movies-of-the-week for the Hallmark Channel, as a camera operator, gaffer and lighting technician. Previously, Lynn lived in Chicago where she worked as part of the creative teams that produced Haunted America, Hades Haunted Houses and The Science of Fear for The Museum of Science and Industry. Lynn was also a founding member of a ten year collaborative art collective that created a video installation documenting the diversity of Chicago neighborhoods and artists for ‘Suite Home Chicago' which was sponsored by and housed in The Merchandise Mart.

Her primary responsibility at NewGroup Media is developing the overall look and aesthetic of principal photography. Whether shooting a commercial, documentary or industrial, Lynn brings a creative eye and energy that is channeled through both the lighting and the lens.
